I played as Charon the ferryman of the Underworld in the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Charon is a ferrymand of the Underworld who brings dead souls through the River Styx to the entrance of the underworld, which was called Hades.
In the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, Orpheus was a talented lyre player who eventually fell in love with a beautiful maiden, Eurydice. Some day, they both got separated in the woods and Eurydice got bitten by a snake and died. Orpheus had to rescue Eurydice from the underworld, so there he went and met Charon the ferryman. Orpheus was not allowed to enter for being alive, so he played his beautiful lyre, which made Charon amazed enough to give a free ride through the River Styx. Then, he met the ferocious Cerberus, the three headed dog. Orpheus played his lyre, which made the dog pant or anything what a normal dog would do to their owner, then he met Hades. Orpheus demanded Eurydice, but as usual "NO". Orpheus' music had changed Hades' mind, but under one condition, He may never look back while he is traveling back to the surface or else Eurydice would be lost forever. So Orpheus traveled back to the surface, but at the last second, he looked back because he was worried and saw Eurydice pulled back by the shadows. Orpheus was depressed once again and died eventually. Then he met Eurydice and lived together for eternity.
I think that the moral of the story is to listen to the higher/elder's orders because of what happened to Orpheus denying Hades. There are always consequences when doing wrong things. I think that a person should think about the consequences before doing something against the orders. Orpheus did not think or believe that Hades was telling the truth and turned back to see his love fade away, or to say that Orpheus did not think what would happen if he turns back. In the end, I think that people should aways think what would happen to them if they do this or that before regretting what they did.
