Modern Religious Experience: Reflection #9: The Incarnation of God

Modern Religious Experience: Reflection #9: The Incarnation of God: "After viewing 'The Nativity Story', analyzing your chosen Christmas carol, and reading Philippians 2:1-7, reflect on the meaning of Christma..."
Jesus was born as a normal baby, even though he is considered the son of God. The scriptures and songs say that he is a human-being with no sin, and someone who is going to serve as a sacrifice fro us all.
The carol: "Joy to the World" explains that he is the one to bring joy and peace.
"Joy to the world, the Lord is come!Let earth receive her King;Let every heart prepare Him room,And Heaven and nature sing,And Heaven and nature sing,And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing."
This carol tells us that the "true" king has come to free us all from "darkness" and that "He" would bring "peace" for all.

Mary was the Virgin Mother who trusted that angel that it was true that she would bore Jesus, and Joseph became the husband of Mary and took care of baby Jesus. The shepards was involved with this "Birth" because they now know that God has sent down the Messiah and the shepards spread the word. The Persian Astrologers had followed the "Stars" in order to get to Jesus and gave him gifts representing King, Priest, and Great Sacrifice. This might've been the start of "Christ"mas, the day of giving gifts.

If God is almighty and powerful, why would he send his son as a baby? I think that God did this because people can't see "him" with eyes, so God wanted to let us see "God" as person, and wanted "us" to know that God was trying to do a "human" sacrifice in order to forgive our sins.
